Look and Learn, the History Picture Library, owns exclusive rights to one of the world’s largest and most beautiful archives of classic educational illustrations. This collection is especially strong in all aspects of British and world history, the Bible, literature, legend, fantasy and nature. Wherever possible, illustrations are reproduced from the original artwork at exceptionally high quality.
The core collection is complemented by a vast amount of 19th and early 20th century historical material and various privately-owned collections which we have recently scanned, including the Peter Jackson collection (the largest collection of London-related material in private hands which numbers over 20,000 items), the Elgar collection of historical portraits, and various collections of printed ephemera, much of it colour and highly decorative.
Over 150,000 proprietary educational images, scanned and catalogued by us, are now available for licensing at www.lookandlearn.com, with thousands of new images added every month.
