Shutterstock Enhances Plugin to Enable Further Integration with Adobe Creative Cloud

Shutterstock has updated its custom-built plugins to be more fully integrated with Adobe’s Creative Cloud®, adding compatibility directly within the Adobe Premiere Pro®, Adobe Illustrator®, and Adobe InDesign® applications. This is the first time Shutterstock has made its high quality video collection of 8 million clips available through a plugin, giving amateur filmmakers and veteran film editors another powerful tool at their disposal within Premiere Pro®.

With these integrations, Shutterstock intends to not only save creative professionals time and increase productivity, but also emerge as an all-in-one content platform, assisting customers with their professional work.

“As soon as we announced the Photoshop® plugin last year, people started to ask us when we’d provide them the same service for other applications within the Adobe® suite,” said Jon Oringer, Founder and CEO of Shutterstock. "We’re pleased to bring together the images and video customers love into the tools they use every day."

Key features of the Shutterstock plugin include:

● Streamlined workflow - Gain access to Shutterstock’s library of images, vectors, and footage without switching applications.

● Design previews - Make edits and share designs using preview images or clips before purchasing a licence.

● Content curation - Get inspiration from pre-curated collections of imagery or video clips, or from user-generated collections shared with a team of colleagues.

● Simple licencing - Download assets within the applications without losing the integrity of the work.

The compatibility with new applications builds on the success of Shutterstock’s 2016 launch of a plugin compatible with the Adobe Photoshop® application. With more than 150,000 new images added daily, Shutterstock has the largest collection of photos, vectors and illustrations that can be licenced directly within the Creative Cloud® desktop application.

The Shutterstock plugin works for Creative Cloud 2015-2017 and is available for Mac and PC users in English. Learn more about Shutterstock’s plugin here.

Monkey Selfie Images Represented by Danita Delimont

Indonesia, Sulawesi, Sulawesi crested black macaque, Macaca nigra, self-portrait created after camera set-up on a tripod with cable release by photographer, also known as ’monkey selfie’.

The image has been so much in the news That Danita Delimont thought they’d share some of the background information on how it was taken. They represent the photographer and have the images on their website which you can licence if interested!

Several years ago David shared his tale with us and like so many interested people worldwide they’ve been following the amazing story along the way.

When he journeyed to Indonesia he had researched the habitat of the Black Crested Macaques well. He hired a local guide to take him deep into the rain forest jungles, hauling his backpack and camera equipment. There he encountered a curious troop of nearly 25 macaques which he spent time with over a three day period letting them get used to his presence. They watched him curiously as he moved around their territory, camera in hand and even connected with him physically by holding his hand, trying to groom him for a bit and letting their curiosity explore this human in their presence.
We all know primates are smart and they soon figured out they could see their reflection in the lens of his camera. When unattended on the tripod, they would venture over to the camera and peer into their reflection of the glass. They’d seen him clicking the button and that’s exactly what this one in particular did. Smiling so happily, he pressed the button and history was made!

Danita Delimont have a nice selection of this entire episode on their website. Now that the lawsuit is settled, they can licence them for many uses. Here’s a link to their images.

Fresh Images of Austria and Germany from AWL

The end of summer always brings a wonderful deluge of fresh pictures from AWL Images - contributing photographers who have been out making the best of the sunshine. This month they bring you a striking blend of contemporary and classical architecture from Austria, the best of Germany’’s North Sea and Baltic coasts for a Germanic feel.

Austria, the Centre of Europe

Several AWL photographers have recently been shooting in Austria; from the grandiose city of Vienna with it’s array of Neo Classical, Baroque and Modernist architecture, to Salzburg, the city made famous by the film ’The Sound of Music’, through to the mountainous Alpine regions of the Tyrol.

Summer on Germany’s North Sea and Baltic Coasts

AWL photographer Marco Bottigelli captured the highlights of Germany’s coast from the white-sand beaches, chestnut forests and architectural confection of Sellin Pier on Rugen Island in the east, to the uber- sophisticated Sylt Island, haunt of Germany’s media and business elite, at the northern tip of the North Sea Coast, and on to Cuxhaven with its horse-drawn carriages and endless tidal flats.

The world’s premier museum image collection continues its valued partnership with the foremost portal for specialist photolibraries: StockIndexOnline. We welcome their outstanding contribution to the high quality visual media collection available here on the web’s one-stop destination for image research and buying.

British Museum Images covers all aspects of the Museum’s collections, probably the largest single body of material documenting the history of world cultures and civilisations.

Among the most important items are the Rosetta Stone, a vast array of ancient Egyptian mummies, the sculptures from the Parthenon, the Lewis Chessmen, and an unparalleled collection of prints and drawings from the old masters through to twentieth-century works.

The number of images currently available online represents only a small fraction of the collections. Please contact sales@bmimages.com to discuss your requirements.
